    Is there any way I can set my Pastel to use a .ENZ template automtically every time I process docs?

    Hi All

    I have been battling with this for a while now!!

    I have created my custom invoice template on Pastel Partner v 14 =, saved it and I use it when invoicing BUT... I process massive amounts of invoices each day and absolutely hate having to select my "custom .enz template" every time I want to print an invoice... is there any way around it?? I would LOVE if I could set it to automatically use the same .enz template each time I invoice.

    Please help!! Praying for good news!

    Tx

    Robin

    Hi Robin,

    A few questions for you before I can offer a solution:

    Do you want to use the custom invoice template for ALL invoices, or only for certain customers?

    Do you print your invoices to plain A4 paper or do you use continuous stationery?

    What is the name of your custom form file?

    Where have you saved your custom form file?

    Under File...Printer/Fonts Setup, which Paper Style setting do you have under customer invoices?

    Once I have received your answers, I should be in a position to offer a solution.

    Hi Neville

    Please see answers below:

    Do you want to use the custom invoice template for ALL invoices, or only for certain customers?
    Yes, I want to have all invoices in the exact same template permanently.
    Do you print your invoices to plain A4 paper or do you use continuous stationery?
    Plain A4 paper
    What is the name of your custom form file?
    C:\Pastel14\Custom\Forms\New Forms\Custom Invoice Template.enz
    Where have you saved your custom form file?
    Please see above exact file location
    Under File...Printer/Fonts Setup, which Paper Style setting do you have under customer invoices?
    Plain, Single Sheet.

    I usually only email my invoices to clients - but would like to have them in that template every time I do without having to select the template individually for over 2000 invoices... I have tried not printing the invoices immediately and leaving them in batch mode. Then, as soon as I update, I print them and choose the template BUT... then it only emails the first invoice in the selected template and all the rest in the auto template from Pastel...

    Thank you in advance...

    Hi Robin,

    Thanks for the answers to my question.

    You need to rename the .enz file as follows - csdocsp.enz and save it in your company folder, i.e. C:\Pastel14\CoyFolder\csdocsp.enz

    The Forms Designer refers to specific file names to interpret how to handle them. In this case, the name csdocsp.enz represents:

    cs = customer/supplier
    doc = document
    sp = single, plain

    Also, make a copy of csdocsp.enz and rename it to csdocpdfsp.enz and save it into your company folder as well. This file will be used by the system when you are emailing or printing to PDF, whereas the first file will be used when viewing on the screen or printing to a physical printer.
