I really don't understand how I manage to invoke the strangest bugs.

I import the data from SARS, and it fails to populate August in both companies.
So in one I can update the August info no problem.

In the other, the PAYE column is greyed out - I'm not allowed to enter data. See below -

Despite this, it still manages to figure out I don't owe any money

Hi Dave A - I think that you have to go to the previous screen (page one) to be able to enter data.

Yes, I agree, maybe you have ticked the ETI on the return, then it does not allow you to enter the PAYE on this screen. Just un-tick it on page one. The Aug figures does not pull in at all. Not sure how they update their systems, maybe it will also take 21 days....

It looks like you're on the right track. The challenge now is it's kinda hard to recon the ETI claim if you don't tick the ETI box...

    Well done SARS.
(Of course they'll claim it's working as designed).

Ai Dave... then you just manually complete everything and don't use the SARS import.... Easy peasy

    Or -

    Tick the No ETI box
Insert the August 2016 PAYE field value
    Tick the Yes ETI box
    Recapture the ETI page

    Mission accomplished

Hi there, we have correctly loaded all our info on Easyfile for the 201608 period, but once we refresh the Declaration everything balances except the ETI. I read online that this is a "fault" from Sars and has not been resolved yet. Can anyone clarify if I can submit our Declaration with the difference?

Mine went terribly. Everything submitted on time through EasyFile. Then something went wrong on SARS end and they decided I had massive outstanding liabilities against PAYE, SDL and UIF.

Easy mistake to spot as my total liability for the 6 months was R93 (for example). They said my liability for PAYE was R93 for SDL was R93 and UIF was R93 so in total I owe them (R93 x 3) less the R93 actually paid = R186. In reality the amounts are much larger and now I can't get the Tax Clearance certificate which I need for a client!

ARRGGGGHHHH,,,,,,,now I'm on the 21 business days to solve wait.
