    British Passport

Anyone got a British passport who has parents that were born in SA, but their parents (i.e. your grandparents) where born in the UK ?

My parents were born in Zim and Uganda, still British colonies back then.My grandfather was born in the UK.I did not qualify for a passport but I was able to get an ancestal visa for 4 years and could have got citizenship a year after that.

They have tightened up the laws and requirements.Best to go through an agency in the know.

I'd second Rory's advice about an agency or UK immigration adviser, they change the rules frequently so unless someone specifically has a very recent experience you're likely to get out of date info.
