    Crooked Man

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house
Which was in a crooked town down a crooked lane
and he had 4 crooked wives with a crooked family

So reading the first reports of the inspection of Nkandla by politicians I came to the following conclusion.

NKANDLA IS A MICROCOSM THAT GIVES US PERSPECTIVE

"How can we expect a man, who is prepared to accept over specified, over priced, under delivered and shoddily built security measures to his own private property, to do any better with the country?

Jacob Zuma783 obviously accepts that we have an over specified constitution, in an over judged country, with under delivered services and a shoddily run civil service.
Like Nkandla there is tenderpreneuring on an unprecedented scale with all the accompanying corruption.

I was at a DA meeting in North Durban this week.

Not much advertising of the meeting, but the Sharks Board venue was packed with people, and the DA leader Mmusi Maimane was given a rousing welcome.

His presentation went down VERY well, he is an excellent speaker, reminds me a lot of both Thabo Mbeki and Barack Obama.

My take from the audience reaction is that people are fed up with the current government and the DA vision is like a breath of fresh air, at last something to give us hope.

The DA have a vision which they make very clearly, the ANC are so busy with the infighting that they have forgotten they are there to serve the country.

The DA vision is so clear that I can repeat it from memory (Freedom, Fairness and Opportunity, in government by 2019, a better country by 2029 after 10 years in power)

On every level, in every grouping of every department of every institution!

This country has always got things done in spite of government, not because of government, and now even more so.

I am in the "who gives a damn" corner... We pay tax what they do with it is up to them. But government needs to realize when we are all broke or dead or both then there is no more free money... then what???

The Chinese will support them as long as there are natural resources.. The Russians are now invited. There will be no shortage of funds.
