So who has jumped the gun and installed the developer preview of Mac's latest operating system, El Capitan?
Any thoughts?
Busy downloading the 6 GB file right now...

No I haven't Neville - what do you think of it ?
Can't say yet as I am still downloading it - about halfway now.
I will give my first impressions once I have it up and running later today.

I must say I hadn't heard of it yet until you mentioned it - I know the last time Yosemite popped up and I downloaded it
Here's a link to the OS - http://www.macworld.com/article/2932...-upgrades.html

Downloaded and installed (the actual installation was a little less than an hour).
So far, I don't see anything jump out at me, except that if I wiggle my mouse pad, the cursor momentarily magnifies itself so that I can see where my cursor is on the screen.
One thing that is obvious is that the system is running a lot smoother and faster, although it was not really a problem before anyway.
All my apps seem to be running fine.
I think there's a lot of under-the-hood improvements, rather than visual changes, in this OS.

So would u recommend I do it Neville or just leave the current one ?
If it was me, I would go for it, but then again I'm an early adopter by nature and I'm prepared to take the risks associated with running beta software.
