    VAT Registration - Pastel Xpress

I am using Pastel Xpress and my CC has just been VAT registered. I now need to make changes to pastel so the invoices no longer reflect the word Invoice but now have the heading Tax Invoice. Is this just as simple as amending the Invoice template or is there an accounting function I need to change in the settings of Pastel?

Hi Grant. Yes you can change it in the Invoice Template.

Remember to also check the settings in Setup - Tax - General Settings.

Hi Mike - thanks for this.
Before I make any changes I just want to make sure I am doing the rights thing:

In form designed I open, for example, the csdocsp.enz file and then I delete the heading that reads - 'Form Name' and over type it with Text that reads 'Tax Invoice'?

When I try to process a customer invoice then it in the document type field it reads Invoice and not 'Tax Invoice'

Hi Grant - If you do that you will change all the customer and Supplier documents including Credit Notes and Debit Notes etc.

    Try this rather.

Setup - Customers - Documents ... select the Invoice Tab at the top. Change the contents of "Original Name" from Invoice to Tax Invoice. Click OK.

Pleasure! Also remember to change "Copy Invoice" to "Copy Tax Invoice."
