The latest build 14.0.7 addresses this issue.

You now have the option to use the more secure password protocol or not, plus there is now a password reminder feature in case you forget your password.

    Interesting...

I have Windows 10 (Insider Preview) installed on a virtual drive on my Mac and Pastel V14 runs fine on it (as a standalone machine), but I have not had the opportunity to test it on a network environment.

I tried updating the build from 14.0.4 to 14.0.7 on my wife's computer a few minutes ago (Windows 8.1) before doing mine. Got some errors saying that certain patches have been updated already ?? so just aborted. Didn't want to try the Ignore option in case it really messed things up.

I don't feel like downloading the full install, so will stay with what we have for now as we keep the same build on both laptops.

My troubles started just after release of build 10.0.10130
You can Map the Network successfully, then just minutes later it's gone again.
Sometimes it don't even pick up the server at all.

And the latest build 10166 has not solved the problem?

Neville, after that slepp to revert back, I'll rather sit back and wait with this PC(my WORK pc)
I'' give it a go again on a spare Pc that I don't mind the bugs of Win 10.
