How to get coordinates on Google Maps

Of course that was supposed to be Google Maps, but I cannot edit the headline.

I need coordinates for an address for our property mapping feature.

I knew how to get that in old Google Maps, which was not easy/user friendly.

Now Google Maps changed a while back, but one could switch back to old version.

Now that switch is gone too and I cannot get the coordinates.

Does anybody know how to get them?

Ironic that the very base of the GPS/ Google Maps application are coordinates, but one cannot get them.

It seems now with Google Maps you have to sign in to do anything. I am sorry but why must I sign in to get some information? Google wants to know too much about my personal life.

Right-click the place on Google maps.

    Click on "What's Here?"

    You will see the coordinates.

I am signed it it seems.

'What's here' just makes some blob for a second and shows me nothing. Also just brings a small pic of the street view in top left corner of screen. What is the trick Neville? Is it maybe my ancient XP?

After you right-clicked and then chose the "What's Here" option, you should see something listed just below the search box (top-left). This should include the coordinates as a link, if you want the coords in DMS format instead of decimal, click that link - it should then display the same coordinate in both formats after "zooming" into the position.

Or go to 'Google Earth' type in the name of the street, suburb, town etc then just put the cursor on the property in question, you will also see how high it is above sea level in case of a 'Tsunami'
