Registration of Employer for Workmans Comp - Best way to register (fax/e-mail/post?)

    Hi,

What is the best medium to use to register an employer for Workmans Compensation? Should I fax/e-mail or post the registration form?

    Kindly advise.

As the Labour Department doesn't perform any actual labour (and don't answer telephones, don't attend to emails or faxes) it was suggested you drive to your local Compensation Commissioner office and sit in line for a day (or two or three) and hand in your registration. Note that they don't stamp a copy as proof that they received it, so keep your diary open for another day or two in the line.

I just want to know if there is any compensation if I was injured on duty and was hospitalized in ICU for six days, if so what do I need to do. my employer is only telling me that they will only pay the hospital bill not me.

When you say "they", are you referring to the employer, or the Workmans Compensation Fund?
The trouble with opportunity is it normally comes dressed up as work.
