    Invoice numbers in ascending order

    Hello

I have a question about invoice numbers, do they have to be with the date in ascending order? I know there was a law in Germany a while back where it had to be like that.

    Thanks

Hi Miriam - I have not heard of anything like that here. Of course it makes sense that the date should be compatible with the numbers as they ascend, but there are occasions when one would hold an invoice back for a while which would put it out of sequence.
