MS perhaps learnt from W8's problems?

    Just seen this: http://blogs.computerworld.com/windo...re-all-android

So they're admitting that Android's a better form of making money than trying to push their own OS onto phones. I.e. rather just make and sell the apps people might need.

Seems their first full-on app/service is going to be games: http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57...android-games/

I wonder what the management had to be told when this idea came about: "Lets port our XBox games to Apple & Android!"

    What next?
A Windows OEM OS that comes with a bundled Linux dual boot distro?
The trouble with opportunity is it normally comes dressed up as work.

Another reason might be that they're getting desperate. They've just lost Ford's internal media systems:

    So they're fighting a Windows War Z ...
