    Problem with easyFile download

    Afternoon all, I am having nil success in downloading the latest version that easyFile wants me to download when I log on.... after 30 seconds the 0% download bar disappears and it closes itself down... anyone else had this issue and found a solution (oh how I hope so, as the idea of having to phone SARS tomorrow fills me with dread) Cheers Laura

    Hi Laura. You need to give us a bit more information. For example ... What version of Windows are you running? Have you downloaded and installed Easyfile previously on the computer you are using?

    You are supposed to be able to get the program on a disc from SARS but on the two occassions that I tried it (you need to go with your request on a company letterhead) I was turned away as they didn't have any.

    The other option is to find someone else in your area who has downloaded it and take a memory stick to them so that they can copy it onto the stick for you.

    Thanks Mike for the response - I waited until late last night and tried again and it whizzed through, guess it was just a traffic thing.... felt better for sharing though

    Cool! Glad you got sorted. I know the frustration ...

    I think that one of the special things about this forum is that you can get a response with suggestions fairly quickly. Even if they don't always solve the problem it is good to know that you are not left trying to sort it out alone.

    Jacks don't be too scared of the help desk at SARS. Up here in JHb they are quite efficient and we seem to get an answer straight away. I do think they are improving their service, so perhaps you just need to find out the correct people to phone.

    That's been my experience too at times. Just hard to know where the traffic jam is - SARS's server or our ISP's.
