Which lens to buy

Hi all,

I have a canon 5d with a kit lens at the moment which really doesn't take the best of pics. I will be going to Thailand in December and want a lens that will work best for traveling.

I want to spend about a grand on a new lens, can anyone recommend the best for traveling.

I also sell my images on istockphoto so need to get some descent shots.

Get a wide angle lens and a 200mm telephoto lens. Don't forget to get a decent flash.
