    Oh glorious ADSL

I've finally gone for fixed line ADSL at home.

    Oh wonderful. So glorious!

Yes, I know my big file download speed will be slower than V3g HSUPA and all that good stuff.
But the lack of lag on normal web browsing... Oh so worth it!

Finally, I can enjoy browsing TFSA at night without tapping my fingers at the lag and getting frustrated.

Way to go Dave. I've had ADSL for about 5 years and I have never had any trouble.
Excellence is not a skill; its an attitude...

I've always had ADSL at the office, but have relied on mobile data solutions at home - so I've been well aware of the difference between the two options for the longest time.

The thinking was I have to have a mobile solution anyway for when I'm roaming around the country, so I may as well use the mobile facility when I'm at home rather than just "leaving it to rot."

But seriously, the pain that comes with mobile is not worth "the saving." Being able to click on a link and the page appearing near instantly - consistently - it's priceless.

For varsity work for the kids it was great. Easy to submit assignments and group work was easier. Now my kids are working and still use it to check emails and go onto the work website. I am also used to it and am tempted to cancel DSTV and stream series instead.
Only stress when you can change the outcome!
