Grouping of products in Pastel ?

Is it possible to group certain products in Pastel to make one product?

    Example:
    Let's say I sell a spacer kit on www.4x4direct.co.za
    The spacer kit consists of
    2x spacer 1
    2x spacer 2
    2x bolt 1
    2x nut 1
    4x bolt 2

I buy spacer 1, spacer 2 and the bolts each from a different supplier.
So we buy the products and enter the supplier invoices separately but now when we use all of these products to make up a kit we do not know what to do with it in Pastel.

Is there a function where I can say:
Product X consists of (the products described above) so if I invoice a client for Product X then Pastel should automatically deduct the correct number of each individual product from the stock and add it to the "kit" on the customer invoice.

    Can Pastel do that?

    Hi There

Yes there is a module called Bill Of Materials, this will allow you to manufacture products or create kit items. What version of Pastel are you on? You can check by going to help and about. Let me know and then i can see if we can get a decent price on the Module for you.

    Hi Piet,

If you have Pastel Partner, you can purchase the Manufacturing module, which can do what you have described.

You can download a PDF brochure of the module, by clicking here.

If you would like me to send you a quotation, please let me know what your base serial number is (go to Help...About) and I will send you a quote.
