The electrical certificate and your insurance company

A number of years back I began a one man campaign to expose insurance companies devious practise of offering insurance on your house but only demanding the electrical certificate AFTER it has burned to the ground due to faulty wiring. Of course if you cannot produce the certificate then you have no claim.
Well I am happy to report that in the last 4 months I have been involved in several cases where people are being asked for their electrical certificates when signing up a new insurance company. The rule seems to be "no certificate, no insurance" which is encouraging to say the very least.
To make a mistake is human, to learn from that mistake is knowledge and knowledge is strength.
