    Knighting ceremony for Mbeki?

Is Thabo Mbeki getting knighted? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Buried in a news article on Zille's start as DA leader, I found this fascinating:
Meanwhile, the date for a proposed meeting between Zille and President Thabo Mbeki has yet to be finalised.

DA spokesperson Martin Slabbert said, however, that the two would see each other on Thursday when Zille would be attending the knighting ceremony of Mbeki at the Anglican Cathedral in Cape Town.
When I get head down on a project, I tend not to notice too much of what is going on around me. But I really thought I might have noticed this.

Maybe he needs to prepare for the confrontations with Zille in parliament.

More seriously though, is it even possible to be knighted in Cape Town?

Maybe it's something that can be done in an Anglican Church...

Mainly I'm touched by the irony. In the midst of an assault on our colonial past, Thabo's going to get knighted.

Zuma was made a honorary pastor of a Church!
    Ironic hmmm!

He has the political sanction of a church?

Will Zuma now publically use the title of Pastor Zuma?
