A few mixed feelings, but interested to watch the outcomes.

I managed to catch a short snippet of an interview on TV this morning. I was quite impressed with her plans and does she ever have a strong personality!

It looks like she's determined to keep on as Mayor of Capetown and have someone else lead the parliamentary caucus. That's pretty powerful delegation at high level, which to my mind is very significant.

And of course should keep the Capetonians happy as they've still got their leader in the mother city.

Helen Zille was originally a journalist.

Do you think this part is a bit long for my signature...
The problem is that the state is not intervening effectively where it should, and intervenes badly where it should not. The state lacks the capacity to achieve some of its more ambitious goals. And when the state starts deciding who can and who cannot own property, who can and who cannot be employed or manage a business, then it damages the ability of our economy to grow.

    LOL at Dave! Yup!

A powerful lady indeed - in fact I spoke to a friend who has a friend, who is involved with someone who once knew an employee at CT council - it appears that part of Helen's strength is her omnipresence................ VERY hard working, physically present and takes no prisoners.
